Together with our international partners we can offer a complete package of services for mineral and ore deposit characterizations. Starting from standard transmitted and reflected light microscopy we have access to sophisticated analytical methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM and FE-SEM), electron microprobe (EMP), micro Raman spectroscopy, fluid inclusions investigation, microthermometry and sulfur isotope studies. For heavy mineral characterization of hard rock we apply innovative electric pulse disintegration (EPD) previously to hydroseparation (HS-11). The EPD technique allows mineral liberation along grain boundaries and fractures, thus resulting in a maximum number of undamaged heavy minerals in HS-11 concentrates. Combination of EPD with HS-11 has proven to be highly suitable for complex ore deposit descriptions (e.g. Cabri et al. 2008).
